so i’ve got to come up with some kind of brand for myself other than for my personal portfolio work that i already have. i’m super picky and this has proven a challenge so far. i went with “alittlebithippy” because it was fun and i felt like it fit. at the time. i should have googled it before going with it. you can google it yourself because i don’t have the heart to explain what comes up, other than my twitter account. needless to say, i’m a bit disappointed.
so i’m currently brainstorming and i don’t really want to go with just my name, because i feel like it’s boring. i was formerly @pandoraburr on twitter and i originally used that as my username because everyone calls me amanda panda. then it just turned into panda burr and so on. i feel like that is a little unrelated.
so i’ve got a couple things in my head if “alittlebithippy” doesn’t work out:
amandadidit.com
amandawashere.com
mandydoo.com
mandyland.com
mandylane.com
amandaontap.com
designingamanda.com
amandaness.com
that’s all i’ve got so far. this is mostly for my blog when it’s not such a rough idea and maybe something down the road. i’m really into this idea of tracking my growth as a designer for both the established and unestablished designer to follow. all feedback is mucho appreciated as well uber cool suggestions. thanks kiddos.

home sweet home
amandadidit.com
designingamanda.com
amandawashere.com
I like those three.
I like these 2:
amandadidit.com
mandyland.com
That’s funny because my wife’s name is Amanda, and our friends two daughters call her Panda.
Why not go with: amandaashcraft.com – that is kind of long I guess (and possibly taken)
But that is always my recommendation, brand your name or the name of your company.
@kylesteed’s got a good point…Since you already have amandaashcraft.net, why not roll with it? You have the same issue I do — last letter of first name is the same as the first letter of the last name (in my case H). Could be confusing when typing…
Idea: mandyashcraft is available on twitter and .com. Hmmm…not bad if you’re ok with people calling you Mandy
Hey Amanda. This is such a big dilemma, I feel you! I’m going through this weird branding yourself stage right now too. It’s really odd, isn’t it
For my two cents, I like amandawashere and I’m agreeing with @kylesteed and @iamgarth with amandaashcraft.net or mandyashcraft. I got really frustrated with trying to figure out “words” that went along with me, and decided to go with my name too.
Woops, I just realized you wrote this back in June. But, I’ll add my two cents too. I will stick around your blog, I’ve been keeping up with a couple web designers but haven’t found any other girls like me who are entering into the web design world.
